Arsenal Win Their 16th Community Shield Against Liverpool

 


Revelation has always been the solution to a new beginning and Arsenal are proving that theory under Mikel Arteta right now. Arsenal battled Liverpool today in FA community shield and they never let their fans down. 

Just less than two months ago, Arsenal birthed a dynamic victory against Chelsea at Wembley stadium in the FA cup. The win slated them for a community shield battle against Liverpool. Aubameyang had earlier cunnered a thunderous short from the right side but Takunmi cancelled the goal for Liverpool in the 79th minutes the match. 


The game finished 1-1 and both team stepped in for penalty shoot-out. Salah took lead for Liverpool but Nelson calmed the boat for Arsenal with a deceptive short. Liverpool young star  Rhian Brewsterwho was introduced in the last minute of the match took the third penalty but fired it to hit the bar. Arsenal fantastic captain Aubameyang took the last kick for Arsenal and he never disappoint as usual.

The win now means that Arsenal have won their last four community Shield (2014, 2015, 2017 and 2020). Arsenal have also beaten Liverpool in their last two meetings in Community Shield. More to this is that only machester United have won the trophy more than Arsenal. Machester United have won it 21 times why Arsenal have won it 16 time. 

It was a humble victory for Arsenal indeed and this may be the beginning of total redemption for the highly rated Mikel Arteta's boys.
