If Arsenal Beat Liverpool In Community Shield, Arsenal May Be Ruthless In Coming Season

Premier league announced the 2020/2021 premier league fixtures today. As speculated before, Arsenal was rumoured to face a tough opponent in their first match but the new premier league fixtures have disproved it.

Arsenal will start their opening match on the 12th of September. The match will see them travel to Fulham. Fulham is a newly promoted team from Championship. Parker led Fulham back to the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Brentford.

Last season, Arsenal won their first match against Newcastle United, courtesy of a goal by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in the Premier League on 11 August. Both Pierre Aubameyang and Alex Lacasset performed marvelously last season. Both players also started the match against Newcastle United. Fortunately, both players are still in good shape and they will be hoping to win their first fixture when they clash on with Fulham.

However, Arsenal will play Liverpool in the community shield on the 28th of this month. Liverpool were extraordinary in the last campaign. Although, Arsenal beat them towards the end line of last season but Liverpool were too ruthless against any team. Their performance earned them the long awaited premier league trophy.

Arsenal on the other hand, had a tragicomedy season and they birthed an FA Cup glory against Chelsea. Arsenal are still considered a work-in- progress team but if they can outclass Liverpool in the Community Shield, it could raise more appetite for them. This may eventually lead to their first premier league trophy since 2003.

Can Arsenal do this?
